Ride The Karoo on a 100 Mile or 50 Mile journey through the beautiful Sneeuberg mountain range region, where you can experience wildlife to typical windpump scenes and one-of-a-kind waterpoint stops en route. 100 Miler participants can look forward to a water point stop at the beautiful old farm, Alphen. Here riders will enjoy a light lunch before proceeding with the rest of the route. Participants can look forward to a weekend experience of two nights under the Karoo stars at Dwarsvlei farm. Saturday evening will consist of some live entertainment and delicious food after a long day in the saddle! The food is just another true reflection of the Karoo and its people.

Ride The Karoo stage race takes place in the heart of the Karoo at Dwarsvlei farm. Each stage passes by historical 100-year-old stables and 200-year-old stone walls leading onto double lane “sheep tracks” while riding past familiar windpump scenes along the way. Experience authentic Karoo hospitality with braais, fresh farm bread, condensed milk coffee, koeksisters & craft beer amidst picturesque sunsets. Ride the Karoo is not about crossing the finish line as quickly as possible but rather about a riding experience like no other.

Run The Karoo entails a weekend of trail running in the heart of the Karoo! Experience authentic Karoo hospitality with braais, fresh farm bread, condensed milk coffee, koeksisters & craft beer amidst picturesque sunsets. Run the Karoo is not about crossing the finish line as quickly as possible but rather about a running experience like no other.

The Owl Route is a luxurious glamping escape into the heart of the Karoo. It consists of a 3-day mountain bike experience limited to 80 riders. At The Owl Route, riders will be treated to an all-inclusive riding and culinary experience in the quaint village of Nieu Bethesda. The rolling mountains of the Sneeuberge will remain the backdrop of the 3-day experience. You will be led back to the welcoming arms of Nieu Bethesda and its hand-built, fully functioning water furrows and historic sites.

Ride The Cape is an all inclusive luxury riding & culinary experience through the beautiful Elgin Valley. The event is limited to 70 riders ensuring exclusivity. Participants will ride through its well-known apple and pear orchards and experience Elgin’s high-quality, cool climate wines.

Participants will explore 3-days of exhilarating riding on some of South Africa’s best kept single track with scenic views of Cape fynbos, orchards, indigenous forests and vineyards. Ride the Cape is all about offering guests an exclusive and unique off the beaten path experience.

Run the Cape is an all-inclusive luxury trail running and culinary experience through the beautiful Tulbagh Valley. The event is limited to 60 participants, ensuring exclusivity. Runners and walkers are welcome to be part of the weekend. Participants will explore the valley’s well-known rolling hills and delight in high quality wine from the area. Participants will enjoy 2-days of exhilarating routes with scenic views of Cape Fynbos, pine forest and wheat fields. Run the Cape offers guests an exclusive and unique off-the-beaten-path experience.

Urban Goat Event management company currently hosts and owns six bucket list events. If it is not on your list should be in consideration to be penciled in. We would describe our team as a bunch of outdoors enthusiasts always seeking new challenges and hidden gems to satisfy your curiosity. With over 1500km off the beaten track roads and counting, we aim to intrigue all adventure seekers. You won’t find leader’s jerseys or the usual cups of Powerade at the start and finish line at an Urban Goat event. Instead, we have condensed milk coffee, locally sourced rusks, cold craft beers, lamb chops, and much more!

Our Mission at Urban Goat is to create unique experiences, make the most of our natural surroundings, uplift the local communities, but mostly have fun in the process!
